A BURY landscape gardening firm has been celebrating having its work shown off at a royal flower show and on the BBC.

Country Landscapes, in Copthorn Walk, in Tottington, have specialised in garden maintenance for more than 10 years.

Operations manager Anita Martin was thrilled when the company were given coverage on the BBC News during the RHS Flower Show in Tatton.

They helped to exhibit the ProAsset Maintenance Garden.

Anita said: "We were delighted to have our creative hard work shown on the BBC: you simply cannot buy coverage on the BBC and the garden featured twice."

The display garden, seen by more than 107,000 people at the show, is a high maintenance design to show the care needed in a beautiful garden. Country Landscapes provided a detailed checklist to keep the array of features and plants looking good with intensive aftercare.

Anita added: "It was the first time that we had exhibited. It was hard work but it was an immensely rewarding experience. The ProAsset garden almost got a bronze award, which was excellent as many show gardens had tens of thousands spent on them."
